Celebrating Kristina’s 10 Years with Broadcast M.A.P.
This month we celebrate a special milestone for our Application Support Manager, Kristina Jozic - 10 years with Broadcast M.A.P.! 🎉
In honour of this achievement, and Kristina’s unwavering dedication to supporting both our team and clients we look back at her remarkable journey.
Kristina began her professional career in the media industry, starting off in media agencies where she developed her skills as a trader before finding her niche in systems and project management. Her experience with media software made her a perfect fit when she later joined Broadcast M.A.P. as a key member of the support team.
Reflecting on her start with the company, Kristina shares:
"I've spent my entire career in the media industry on both sides of the fence, inside media agencies and for software suppliers. I remembered working with Broadcast M.A.P. when I was at Dentsu and I liked the team and the product. When I reached out to see if they could use my skills, they welcomed me with open arms."
Over the past decade, Kristina’s role as Application Support Manager has evolved alongside the ever-changing media landscape. She has tackled challenges head-on, acquiring new technical skills and mastering emerging industry standards.
"In my previous roles, I didn’t have as much exposure to the inner workings of applications as I do now. I've gained new technical skills like scripting, managing system upgrades, and keeping up with the latest tech lingo when working with developers.”
With 30 years in the industry, Kristina has seen significant changes, including the unbundling of media agencies from their creative partners, the growing influence of digital and social media channels, and the expanding choice for viewers such as new broadcast channels, BVOD, and streaming services like Netflix. Kristina reflects:
“The evolution of the industry has been fascinating to witness. It’s brought new challenges for Broadcast M.A.P.’s customers, who have adeptly navigated these changes by staying relevant, and collaborating closely with clients to meet their evolving needs.”
When asked about the future of Broadcast M.A.P. and the key to the company’s success, Kristina highlights:
“Maintaining strong relationships and retaining talented staff with deep expertise have been crucial. The integration into the Volaris group, along with the strategic advantages it has brought, and the addition of the AudioNET team have further strengthened our position.”
Kristina adds:
“I’m particularly excited about expanding our offerings with the AudioNET team and continuing the journey with VOZ. Supporting the industry’s transition to VOZ as a currency is an exciting challenge, and I’m eager to see what’s next."
Support Team Lead - Greg Taylor, notes Kristina’s pivotal role in VOZ and TVmap support in Australia:
“With her extensive knowledge and years of industry experience, we are fortunate to have our Australian branch in such capable hands."
Head of Business Development Australia - Leanne Peruch goes on to say:
“Kristina is naturally curious and wants to know as much as possible when it comes to new industry initiatives like VOZ. Our clients call on Kristina knowing she is a source of truth, and she always goes the extra mile to ensure their questions are answered.”
Reflecting on her most memorable moments at Broadcast M.A.P. and looking ahead, Kristina shares:
“Eventful trips to meet the Auckland team, quirky team bonding activities and developing strong partnerships and friendships along the way has been incredibly fulfilling. Reaching 10 years is a huge milestone. It’s my longest tenure anywhere and I still love it”
“It’s scary to think what the next 10 years holds and what the next big thing in media will be. I’m eager to continue learning, especially as we integrate AudioNET and continue to adapt to new industry trends,"
Kristina’s journey with Broadcast M.A.P. stands as a testament to her dedication and passion for the media industry. Here’s to celebrating a remarkable 10 years and looking forward to the exciting future ahead!
